How it happens

Daily wetness is similar to period cramps; some (very lucky!) girls barely notice it, while some get very uncomfortable. But whether you feel it or not, daily wetness is very common and happens to most girls.
Just like any other parts of our body, the intimate area has sweat glands and hair follicles that cause wetness through sweat. And especially in our humid weather, sweating is something we just can’t avoid. So make sure to take care of your personal hygiene and practice good toileting habits to avoid problems like rashes and itchiness in the intimate area.

Taking proper care of it

Daily wetness may be common, but that doesn’t mean it’s something we can just ignore. If not taken care of properly, daily wetness can cause problems like rashes and itchiness. An infection can also happen internally or externally, due to bacteria, fungus, virus, or a combination of all those things. To prevent this unpleasantness, it’s best to practice good habits, like the ones listed below:

  • Wear a panty liner daily
  • Wash your intimate area properly
  • Wipe from front to back to avoid bacteria from getting into the urinary tract
  • Avoid perfumed soaps, gels, and antiseptics
  • Trim the hair around the intimate area
  • Consult a doctor if you notice redness, rashes, itchiness and abnormal discharge

Did you know:

The intimate area is designed to keep itself clean with the help of natural secretions and discharge. While your body is doing its job to protect you, it might also cause a bit of discomfort with constant wetness in the intimate area. But no worries, all you have to do is wear a Kotex® panty liner every day. It absorbs wetness down there and it’s breathable, allowing you to stay clean, fresh and comfortable every single day.
